We found this grave and thought it was pretty interesting. So, later in the week we looked him up online and discovered that he was a balloonist who had, in his day, the world record for distance ballooning-from Copenhagen to Roskilde, Denmark. He also invented a better magic lantern and was famous for his magic lantern shows. He was not satisfied with his performance unless the whole audience was terrified.
