There were lead pipes and little channels and these heated tiles to sit upon and hot water all around. There was also a cold plunge. The hot water is geothermal, and it is not hard for us to imagine that it would be easy to get water cold in this climate.
We all had to watch our step here, and Marcia was extremely careful.
These are not quite Roman sandals, but you get the idea.
