Santorini, Greece

Ships can sail in the middle of the caldera. We were taken from the southern end of the big island to the north and back down the inner coast to the largest town. We did not take a flight: it's just very high.

The town in the middle of the crescent, Fira, is where I photographed these. There are three ways to get up to Fira (or down safely). One can ride a donkey, climb the stairs or take the cable car. There are several shots from the cable car.

The cable car is on the far left in this photo. The stairs are just to the right of the cable car.

If your restaurant is built into the side of a steep hill, simply install a door at the top and post your menu. Guests will walk down the steps.

Somebody lose a hat??

Santorini is known for it's sunsets. We saw a fine one.
