If you were getting off the bus at the funicular station and were standing on the sidewalk by the tunnel, this is what you would see. The bridge looks much the same from the Pest side except you would see the tunnel and the funicular instead of St Istivan's Bascillica in the background.
There is a walkway. I remember walking across with 3 year old Stas. He was afraid of the lions, but I convinced him to hide from Walter and jump out and scare him when he walked by. This was a big thrill for everyone and the scary lions were soon forgotten.
