Szechenyi Baths Budapest

You can tell by the statues flanking the entrance of these baths that they are all about fun...

and classic beauty!

This is the really fun part. The center of this pool is a smaller pool with jets spouting forth from the tile benches. They run for 20 minutes and are off for 20 minutes. Come early to get a good seat.
The next ring is a current pool. It swirls you around when the jets are off in the center pool. It's great fun-kinda like swimming, or getting pushed around, in the washing machine.
In the foreground of this photo are jets in the floor of the pool. They go for about 20 minutes, and once they come on, no one is gonna give one up. You'll just have to wait...

This is a wonderful experience. Everybody goes to the baths-old, young, in between, couples, singles, gay couples, (we know some lesbians who went there too), big people, little people, able bodies and bodies dependant on others to help them enjoy the pool. In the hot pool, the guys play chess. They bring their plastic pieces and play on a board painted on the concrete.
