I found this rood screen interesting. The faces of the figures on the top have been chipped away. Sometimes this happened in the religious wars, but also happened in the revolution. Since the church and the monarchy were so closely knit it was difficult to tell whether figures were saints or monarchs and aristocracy.
Little abbey just beyond the garden next to the cathedral.
