Newcastle-Hadrian's Wall-Chester-Bath House

The settlement/fort at Chester is on the Tyne.  You enter through the Commandant's house and barracks and granary which you will see soon.  Of greater interest here is the bath house and the bridge.  The bath house must have been heavenly on cold winter days particularly after guard duty.  My aching legs and feet felt it would be very attractive even on this summer day.

The fire would have been here.  Probably with not so much water involved.
