Sometimes I felt that we might be extras in British sitcoms-just dropped down in a villiage lane waiting for the bus. At this particular stop, if you didn't catch the 4 pm bus you had to wait two hours + for the next bus to come along. Of course, the little villiage (with the pub) was a 10 minute walk down the road, but we were thinking Indian food in Newcastle.
And so we were rewarded with our own papadam tree. KG
