Brussels-Sablon Park
Back in the days when Spain was amassing empire, these two Flemish guys were active in the local resistance against the Spanish. They were eventually beheaded, but their memory is revered in this little park along what I like to call, Royal Row.
Surrounding the park are these statues representing various guilds. I got photos of a few of them, but there are many more. In their time I'm sure it would have been apparent to everyone what guild they represented, but not so clear to us perhaps.
