Limoges-memorial park

It's just a little park with a statue of Marchal Jourdan in the center. That would be Marchal Jourdan-not Michael Jordan. He did spend some time in America in what we know as the French and Indian War-essentially an extension of the wars between England and France on the continent. His big claim to fame was in the Revolution (French) and in Napolean's Army.

This is a WWI memorial. I liked it very much. The side statues show two men doing what was done in the way of work in this town at that time. Pottery and apparently shoe making.
