St Petersburg Yusupov Palace-Rasputin's killer

The nobility was quite concerned over the influence of Rasputin on the Royal family.  This particular Mr Yusupov invited him to dinner at this palace and fed him potassium cyanide.  Nothing happened.  He then got his gun and shot Rasputin several times.  Quite sure he had done the deed, he joined his buddies upstairs for a few rounds of drinks.  When they came to collect the body it was gone.  There was a trail of blood, so they eventually found Rasputin and shot him in the head and dumped him in the Neva leaving his boots on the bank.  Rasputin did die, but the boots gave the killers away and the royal family was much less than pleased.
